How are you? There is less to finish the holidays … You have to make the most of these last days of summer!
Today I wanted to talk about a topic that I find super interesting, the influence of American culture on their own. Every day, there are more American traditions that we already feel like ours. A piece of the USA in Madrid is the AUTOCINE MADRID RACE, where we took these photos (without a doubt the most appropriate site). And the american DINER is the first in Spain. In addition, the concept of drive-in with all its ‘foodtrucks’, etc. is VERY VERY AMERICAN. An experience that will invite you to know…
Does not it seem that the way it adapts to the elements of this culture makes them almost ours? There may be diverse opinions on this subject. I certainly love some of their traditions, such as Halloween, but always without losing our identity. I’m a big fan of American movies of the 50s, their rock bands, their endless deserts, the West Coast, etc.
What is clear is that we are not so far away due to this increasingly present influence.
One of the most important elements is the United States flag, specifically in fashion. How many times have we met with any shirt, sneaker or jacket that has the colors or the stars of this flag? The truth is that the design is very useful.
On this occasion, I chose to show you a total look with the elements of the flag. A skirt and jacket very atractive for their bright colors, their material and their biker style. Do you need more?
In addition, the accessories are incredible! The jewels, golden and eagle shaped, remind this animal so symbolic for American patriots. All together with a white shirt and white boots with black painted and gold heel, to match the color of the stars of the flag.
Every time the world seems smaller and our customs are mixed making ours those of others. In the end, despite the kilometers, we resemble each other more than we think.
Do you like any special American tradition?
I send you a hug!
