Marine references and inspiration from the 80’s, that’s the new Zuhair Murad collection!

Hi everyone!

How are you? Today I write to you from Paris, after having a exciting moment at the Zuhair Murad fashion show. I don’t lie to you if I tell you that, as the parade progressed, I liked the collection more and more. Very elegant garments that have turned the models into authentic mermaids.

Before telling you about the parade, I want you to get to know this designer a little more. An artist in capital letters who, after graduating in fashion in Paris, began a professional career that would take him to the top. His first steps in front of the public were on one of the catwalks in Rome, little by little, he was one of the stars of the Paris Fashion Week calendar. Since then, their parades are always the focus of attention of all media, and now is when I want to tell you about the parade that I have had the opportunity to see:

At first, the collection began with party dresses that stood out for the variety of blue tones that could be seen in each of them. Long and short dresses, in which in many you could distinguish the detail of fine belts, matching colors, which were very subtle at the waist. This detail seemed to recreate, in many moments, the image of a waist that divided the back of the body with the tail of a mermaid. They also highlighted the details of the fine tails that, falling from the back of the waist, created an effect of fluidity with the movements of the models, as if a marine current caused their tails to move.

But not all were dressed, some short jumpsuits were distinguished in which some coral prints could be seen. All of this, of course, along with the bright ones that, with the lights of the catwalk, caused each model to give off flashes of light at each step it took.

V-necklines, crossed, and some other types gave each of the looks their own personality, creating a continuous harmony in the collection. Of course, without losing the authenticity of each element chosen by Murad to create these wonderful designs.

As the collection progressed, the volumes in the garments began to be noticed. Dresses with long falls that occupied a large part of the catwalk gained presence. Very striking, and elegants. The colors began to take more prominence when they disappeared the blue tones to give place to the red and different tones of a pale pink. It’s here when the volumes began to be located in only specific points of the garments. In the bottom of the skirts, layers or giving priority and prominence to the shoulder pads. We went from a show of sea creatures to face us with a concept inspired by the fauna of the bottom of the oceans.

Now, the white and shades of raw tones gave rise to the final part of the parade. Bodis wrapped by white transparencies, short dresses with jackets of different details to match, and even suits of jacket that gave presence to the shoulder pads. This gave an image that reminded the style of a woman of the mid-80s.

To close the fashion parade, a long bridal dress, with a wide skirt, left everyone astonished by the beauty of this latest look. You could appreciate the care and attention in each of the details that dazzled with the shine of the skirt, sleeves and headband. As if the designer wanted to finish his collection with the figure of a fairytale nymph.

Actually, it’s a fashion show that has moved me in a very special way. A collection in which the drama was denoted and with which the designer, following his personal style, has opened a new stage for his later collections. Thank you Zuhair Murad for letting me be present at this magical moment!

And to you, what do you like most about the collection?

I send you a hug,
