NEON LOVER

Hi everyone!

How are you this new week? It’s incredible the collapse of temperatures that we have had in recent days, right? Here, at least, it’s impossible to go out without a coat that protects us from the cold. But this is not in contradiction to go according to the trends of the moment. Today’s look represents, in a very clear way, two elements of this season:

The first thing I want to talk about is the coat, which stands out for its neon yellow tone. The truth is that fluoride colors have become one of the most unexpected trends for some people this winter. Firms such as Moschino, Prada or Tom Ford had already included in their collections this distinctive variety of color range. But where does this trend come from?

The neon fashion had its biggest boom in the 80s. T-shirts, skirts, tracksuits and other accessories were trend in these striking colors to create a fashion that was associated, very directly, with sportswear. We remember the mythical Jane Fonda wearing garments in fluorine colors during her videos of aerobics classes. Today, these colors have become part of any type of garment, not only those intended to play sports, although it is true that sporting clothes in our daily lives is still a clear trend, a type of look called ‘ athleisure ‘.

Now, we’re going to talk about the dress, which mixes different tones among which prioritizes fluoride like the coat. Although, in this case, the most remarkable thing is not its colors, but its stamping. Remembering the Formula 1 races, it has become an element to be highlighted in some of the last runways. An example is the last spring / summer 2018 collection of Tommy Hilfiger in Milan. This was a tribute to the races, the speed and the adrenaline that this entails. A type of fashion, a bit more risky, that captivated the world to make a difference with the style of runway that we usually see.

To complete this look, I wanted to add elements in silver tones with the boots and the right bag. This accessory also introduces the trend of quilting, which brands as iconic as Chanel or Balenciaga have been including in their latest collections.

I hope you like it and it will inspire you to create a different look in any of your daily days.

And you, do you dare with these tendencies?

I send you a hug,
